Questions? You're in the right place.

Starting therapy comes with a lot of questions. We've answered some of the most common ones below. If you don't see what you're looking for, we're happy to help.

How do I schedule my first appointment?

Start by completing our consultation form. We'll learn a little about what you're looking for and match you with the clinician who is the best fit.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

You don't have to figure that out on your own. We'll ask a few questions about your goals, preferences, insurance, and schedule. Then we'll recommend the clinician who best fits your needs.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your first appointment is a chance for your therapist to get to know you. You'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and answer any questions you have about the process.

What insurance do you accept?

Do you offer self-pay?

Yes. If you plan to pay out of pocket, our administrative team will review our rates before your first appointment. Our full-fee self-pay rate is $135.00/ hour. Our sliding scale rates are available on a needs basis - $105/$95/$80. Ask our administrative team how you can qualify.

Do you offer superbills?

Yes. If we're out of network with your insurance, we're happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please let us know your intent to do this during your initial intake with your selected clinician.

Do I have to come into an office?

No. All of our therapy sessions are offered virtually. You can meet with your therapist from the comfort of your home as long as you're located in a state where your therapist is licensed.

What do I need for virtual therapy?

A private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera. You can download our EHR app - “Telehealth for SimplePractice” to your phone for free from the App Store. You cannot attend sessions if you are actively operating a vehicle or joining from a public space.

What if I need to cancel?

Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments canceled with less notice may be subject to our late cancellation fee.

Can I switch therapists?

Absolutely. Finding the right fit matters. If you feel another therapist on our team would better meet your needs, we'll help make that transition as smooth as possible.

Will I schedule or will the therapist?

Your therapist will coordinate with you to schedule sessions that best fit your schedule.

How long are therapy sessions?

Most sessions last about 53–60 minutes.

How often will I come?

Many clients start with weekly sessions. As you make progress, you and your therapist can decide together if a different schedule makes sense.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. Our clinicians provide therapy only. If medication may be helpful, we can refer you to a trusted psychiatric provider.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is important to us. There are a few legal exceptions, such as concerns about immediate safety or situations required by law. Your therapist will review these with you during your first appointment. If you wish for us to speak to someone related to your care, we will require that you complete a Release of Information (ROI) in order to do so.
